Harp

Irish legend tells us that the Dagda, King of the Faeries, had a magical harp. This harp had Three Noble Strains, three types of music, bound into it:
- Goltraí: Sad music to soothe grief, sorrow, pain, and loneliness
- Geantraí: Happy music to invoke merriment and laughter
- Suantraí: Calm music to lull the listener into deep relaxation
We can only guess what the Noble Strains truly sounded like in the days of the Dagda. However, to this day a harper in Ireland is only considered proficient when they have mastered these three different kinds of music.
My repertoire on the Celtic harp adds these types of music to your occasion, such as:
- Dinner Parties
- Birthdays
- Weddings (Ceremony and / or Reception)
- Corporate Functions
- Funerals
Through my training as a Harpist for the Bedside I also offer harp music as a means of relaxation and support for healing for individuals and groups. For example:
- In the hospital
- At nursing homes
- In private residences
- In yoga classes
All music can be combined with storytelling.
